The Standard Flood Hazard Determination Form (SFHDF) can now be created directly on your iPad and iPhone with our app. This app goes beyond what is available on the FEMA site, as it automatically completes the SFHDF form, including the Community and map panel information, and provides a map showing the property with the FEMA/NFIP overlay.

Flood Zone is a convenient tool for quickly and easily obtaining the FEMA designated flood zone of your current location or a point you choose on a map. This app's subscription service is designed to be easy, quick, and affordable, making it useful for real estate agents, insurance agents, GIS professionals, surveyors, landowners, and anyone interested in flood-related products or services.

For realtors and real estate agents, Flood Zone can add value to the service provided. Being knowledgeable about flood zones is important for top agents. Areas with significant flooding risks can be located miles away from bodies of water or rivers, and lender-required flood insurance can make a reasonably priced home inaccessible to some buyers. By using Flood Zone, agents can identify properties in high-risk areas, saving both themselves and buyers time and frustration. Listing agents and sellers can also benefit from this app by determining what flood zone information should be disclosed when placing a home on the market.

Homeowners can use Flood Zone to monitor if their property's flood zone has changed due to flood map redrawing. The app can also help determine how close a property is to higher-risk zones when located near the boundary of two different zones.

Flood Zone shows FEMA approved flood hazard maps using regularly updated National Flood Insurance Program data. It is important to note that Flood Zone is an informational tool and not a substitute for an elevation certificate performed by a qualified professional. While the data is believed to be accurate, it is not guaranteed. This app is not an official NFIP or FEMA publication, please refer to the official resources and seek advice from appropriately qualified professionals for all related determinations.

The map in the app can be customized to hide or show various features, such as FIRM Panels, Flood Hazard Zones, LOMRs, LOMAs, River Mile Markers, Coastal Gages, Base Flood Elevations, Water Lines, Coastal Barrier Resources System Area, and Levees.

The app requires an auto-renewing subscription to access the online flood zone maps. A free trial is available before making any purchases. Additionally, there is an optional auto-renewing subscription available for creating Flood Hazard Determination PDF documents.

Discounts may be provided for longer subscription periods. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal costs will be identified and charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Users can manage their subscriptions through their Account Settings after purchase. Please note that cancellation of the current subscription is not allowed during an active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
